Ready for School, Ready to Thrive

Welcome to Thrive Buzz, where we spotlight the people, programs, events, and moments making a difference in our community. From wellness and education to outreach and everyday acts of service, we're here to bring you closer to the work happening around us.
The start of a school year brings its own kind of energy. There are new uniforms to sort out, school supplies to gather and, for many families, a long list of things to get done before that first morning back.
On September 4, students and families in Virgin Gorda had an opportunity to check several important boxes at once.
The occasion was a free back-to-school initiative hosted by Books, Brains, Braids and Fades, founded by Ms. Felicia Tonge-Fenton. The event was designed to help students prepare for the school year while also giving families access to services that support their health and well-being.
A Shared Effort
Initiatives like this don't happen because of one person or one organization alone.
They depend on people willing to contribute their time, services, resources and support. They also depend on families taking advantage of the opportunities made available to them.
That spirit of partnership was evident throughout the event.
For Therapy 2 Thrive, supporting the initiative was a natural extension of its commitment to wellness and community engagement. Being able to contribute to an event focused on students and families made the sponsorship especially meaningful.
